Cushendall set up semi-final against Dunloy

Antrim Minor Hurling Championship – Quarter final

Cushendall scored a runaway win over St Paul’s in Sunday’s Minor Hurling quarter final which was played in terrible weather conditions at Pairc Mhuire Cushendall, running up a massive scoreline against a Naomh Pól side who were short a good few regulars

Fiontan Bradley was the star of the show and after adding a couple of points he grabbed his team’s first goal in the eighth minute. Conleith McNaughton got his sides’ second on ten minutes while Cahir McCambridge got the third on seventeen before Bradley got the fourth five minutes from half time as they went on to lead by 4-14 to 0-02 at the break, the St Paul’s points coming from Sean Og McLaren and James McDonnell.

The second half continued in the same pattern as Cushendall’s were even more dominant with the wind behind them. Cahir McCambridge got his team’s fifth goal on forty minutes while the points flew over from all angles.

Cushendall now face Dunloy in the semi-final while Oisins take on Ballycastle
