Naomh Bríd Senior Ladies produced an excellent attacking performance in their Championship clash, with goals coming thick and fast in an entertaining encounter.

Glenravel’s Aimee Traynor opened the scoring from a free after three minutes before Aoife Montague quickly replied with Naomh Bríd’s opening point.

Naomh Bríd then hit a devastating spell in front of goal. Theresa Mellon raised the first green flag on four minutes before Cliodhna Logan found the net just a minute later. Montague added another goal on seven minutes, with Logan grabbing her second major on the ten minute mark.

Points from Lara McNicholl and Aileen McDonnell kept the scoreboard moving for the Biddies, while Glenravel’s Aisling Donnelly also got on the scoresheet.

Mellon continued to cause problems for the opposition defence, striking her second goal on 15 minutes before adding a point shortly afterwards. Ellie Murphy and Ciara Austin also split the posts, while Abi Carleton added chipped in with a score of her own.

Murphy then grabbed Naomh Bríd’s sixth goal on 20 minutes before adding another point, while Mellon continued her impressive scoring display.

There was still time for another major before the interval as Aileen McDonnell found the net on 29 minutes, with Maeve Blaney adding a well worked point shortly afterwards.

Naomh Bríd continued to keep the scoreboard ticking over after the restart. Logan added to her tally, while Mellon and Montague were again among the scorers during the second half. Traynor also added two further points for Glenravel.

It was an impressive attacking display, with scores coming from throughout the forward line and plenty of positives to take into the remainder of the Championship for the home side.
