Cushenun Emmets held a Gala dinner on Saturday night to raise funds for the club and also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the club’s Intermediate Hurling Championship team of 1992. That was a special season for the club with both the senior and reserve team going through the season undefeated as they captured the Intermediate title plus senior and reserve league titles.

More than 500 guest were in attendance along with special guest Director General of the GAA Paraic Duffy and renowned GAA pundit and Gael, Jarlath Burns, both of whom had travelled up after Saturday’s special congress in Croke Park.

Former Derry PRO Gerry O’Neill kept things running smoothly with his banter and wit and those in attendance had an evening to remember.
