Moneyglass 1-9 Ballymaguigan 1-10

This game was switched to St Mary’s Magherafelt when the St. Ergnat’s ground was deemed unplayable and in their first outing in the Ulster Intermediate football league it took the Antrim side some time to settle.

Their cause certainly wasn’t helped when full-back Jarvis Weir had to retire after only two minutes and Patrick Mackle was shown the line in the 20th minute after receiving two yellow cards and by half-time St. Trea’s had established a fairly healthy looking 0-8 to 0-3 lead.

After the break St. Ergnat’s upped their game considerably and spurred on by a goal from substitute, Conal Prenter they came mighty close to getting something from the game but came up just short as the Derry side held out for a one point victory.

Seanchan Duffin 0-3, Dermott McErlain 0-2, Kevin Marron 0-2, Niall Boyd 0-1 and Conor Boyd 0-1 were the men who spearheaded the Moneyglass fight-back and the Marion Hill side will certainly have benefited from their first outing of the season.
