The Kennedy Centre Ladies football championships continued at the weekend.St. Ergnat’s Moneyglass Senior Ladies proved too strong for a young and new to Senior Championship side Naomh Séamas, Aldergrove and will renew acquaintances with old adversaries, St. Paul’s in the final.

Last year’s Intermediate champions, St. James gave it everything and with a young side at their disposal could be challenging the big two in the not too distant future.  St. Paul’s beat St. Gall’s in the other semi-final and will be going for their fifth successive victory over the Marrion Hill girls.

There were mixed fortune’s for St. Ergnat’s however as their second string lost to St. Brigid’s in the Intermediate Championship by a couple of points so this year’s decider will see St. Brigid’s meet Glenavy who defeated Con Magee’s in the other semi-final.

There was success too for St. Paul’s seconds in the Junior Championship as they defeated All Saints Ballymena in a high scoring game at Shaw’s Road, the game ending 3-21 to 3-12 in favour of the home side.

In the Junior B championship Oisins Glenariffe will meet Glenravel B in the decider after the Glenariffe girls defeated St. Comgall’s and the Con Magee’s had a good win over Sarsfield’s
