Under 16 Camogie League
Cushendall: 1-9 Ballycastle: 1-4
Six points in a row in the second half saw Cushendall beat Ballycastle at Paric MacUilin on Thursday evening and in doing so seal the Under 16 Leauge title
In a close first half Cushendall opened with two points from midfielder Orlaith McAlster, but Ballycastle came back with apoint from Kate Slevin and two from Janey McIntosh to take the lead in the 22nd minute. Cushendall drew level with a another Orlaith McAlister point but a Kara Brolly point just before half time gave Ballycastle a 0-4 to 0-3 lead at the break.

A goal from Orlaith McAlister early in the second half put Cushendall two points ahead but Ballycastle regained the lead when they scored a goal two minutes later. It was looking like anyone’s game at this stage but Cushendall regained the upper hand and held Ballycatle scoreless while scoring six points of their own through Kady McNeill, Ellie Jo Butler (2), Orlaith McAlister and Cara O’Boyle to add the league title to the championship crown they won last week and the Championsphip, they won earlier in the season.
