Maeve Kelly visits St. Brigid’s Primary School

Antrim and Ballycastle Camog, Maeve Kelly was a very welcome guest when she visited St. Brigid’s Primary School, Ballymena today and brought the All Ireland Intermediate Championship trophy with her to the Broughshane Road’ school.

Maeve was voted player of the match in last Sunday’s final at Croke Park and finished with a personal tally of 1-5 as she inspired the Saffrons to a famous victory over Kilkenny on the hallowed Croke Park turf.

A packed assembly hall watched highlights of the game on the big screen and afterwards an inquisitive and very excited audience took part in a question and answer session with the Antrim star.

The Ballycastle girl was articulate and very positive with her answers as she held the packed hall spell bound and afterwards signed camogie sticks and memorabilia before presenting school principal, Jim Brady with a signed programme from last Sunday’s final.
